Way’ Members,

Definitions on wildfire ranks are available on BC Wildfire Service’s website:

https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/safety/wildfire-status/wildfire-response/about-wildfire/wildfire-rank

BC Wildfire crews and structural protection units will continue to work throughout the day and overnight to maintain control lines and keep the fire within the perimeters. Water Skimmers and Helicopters will also continue to work throughout the day to provide suppression.

As a reminder OKIB urges watercraft users to stay off of the North arm of Okanagan Lake, allowing BC Wildfire aircraft the required space needed to access water for firefighting.

No additional Evacuation Orders or Evacuation Alerts are planned at this time.

The OKIB EOC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when possible.
