Hullcar mountain fire update

August 6th, 1000 Hours (10:00 am)

Way’ Members,

BC Wildfire crews worked through the night to help restrain fire growth. Crews today have taken a more accurate estimation of fire size, which is now estimated at 300 hectares.

Today additional crews will join those currently on site and will continue to be supported by aerial assets including helicopters and water skimmers.

No additional Evacuation Orders or Evacuation Alerts are planned at this time.

The OKIB EOC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when possible.

We will have a more fulsome update later today.
