Ministry of Transportation Highway 97 Paving Project: Update

We would like to inform OKIB that paving operations at St. Anne’s Crossing are nearing completion today. However, there have been a few setbacks due to equipment failure, resulting in delays in completing section 1 of the project.

The plan was to complete section 1 to Salmon River Bridge by today. Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is projected that two to three additional shifts will be required before equipment can be mobilized to commence work on section 2, located west side of Falkland.

To facilitate the upcoming long weekend, equipment will be relocated to the racetrack yard this afternoon, ensuring that it is out of the way and ensuring smooth operations during the holiday weekend.
Work will commence on Tuesday following the long weekend.
