“The Indigenous student graduation rate is currently 74 per cent, showing a steady growth from the 2020-21 school year when just 64 per cent of Indigenous students graduated.

At the beginning of this school year, B.C. introduced a mandatory graduation credit requiring all students to complete at least four credits of Indigenous-focused coursework in order to graduate. McCrae said this change has had a positive impact on Indigenous student graduation rates”
