Sensenet Group installing tower at TSD that will provide an early warning system for wildfires or extreme fire hazards
A research project is underway to create a system of sensors to provide an early warning system for wildfires in the area. The attached presentation explains the project and its parameters and intentions.
A crew is working today at TSD Building to install the tower for receiving data and also Phase 1 of the sensor installation is getting underway in the Six Mile Creek Area, all the equipment and costs for installation and monitoring is covered no cost to OKIB.
TSD will also be provide the equipment and training to monitor the information coming from the Sensors. The thesis is that the sensors will provide an early warning system for any wildfires or extreme fire hazards for the community.
