OKIB Youth Activities - Afterschool Programs
OKIB Youth Activities is offering daily afterschool programs for youth in Grades 1 through 7. These programs are designed to offer afterschool care for students until 5:30pm, while also catering to the diverse interests of youth in our community. School Liaison Coordinator Kevin Smeltzer can arrange for students to be brought by school bus to each activity.
Please specify when registering whether your child will need these arrangements to be made. Afterschool Programs will run in 4 cycles over the course of the school year. With different programs being introduced in each cycle, as informed by the Youth Activities Afterschool Program Survey that was distributed at the Education Barbecue September 1st. We will endeavour to offer one program in each cycle that touches on each of our 5 main focuses (Art, STEM, Outdoors, Athletics, Cultural).
Afterschool Programs will not run on Stat Holidays or SD22 Pro-D Days.
Cycle 1: September 18 – October 27
Cycle 2: November 6 – December 15
Cycle 3: January 8 – March 15
Cycle 4: April 2 – June 21
