Hospitality Professional program - Hosted by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and Okanagan College

Please see information on the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and Okanagan College 17 week Hospitality Professional Program; the program provides a comprehensive package of training to prepare participants for a variety of positions, including supervisory positions within the hospitality sector in the Thompson Okanagan Region.

The program is mean for individuals who are:

* Entering the hospitality sector, bringing skills from past experience in other sectors or industries.

* Current hospitality professionals looking to build on a hospitality management career by further developing skills, knowledge and connections.

This fully funded, full-time online program will provide participants with instruction, certificates. Mentorship, employment coaching, work experience and job placement support delivered over 28 weeks. The program combines practical skills with specialized knowledge and connects participants to industry employers in the Thompson Okanagan Hospitality sector.

Applicant Eligibility:

* Living in the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia (which includes Shuswap, Boundary Country, Similkameen and Gold Country/Nicola Valley) or in Revelstoke area.

* Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or protected person legally able to work in Canada

* Over the age of 16 years

* Grade 10 English or equivalent.

Priority participants will be Indigenous Peoples, Immigrants and Persons with Disabilities, Workers 55+ are encourage to apply.
