Shauntelle Flooren, Pre-Employment Supports Caseworker

Shauntelle Flooren

My name is Shauntelle Flooren. I have recently taken the OKIB Pre-employment Supports Program Case Worker Similkameen position based out of Keremeos and serving the Upper and Lower Similkameen community members.

I am originally from the Dene Tha’ First Nations in northern Alberta. I grew up in Fort Vermilion Alberta where I left after graduation and eventually found myself in Edmonton where I completed four years of a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree program at the University of Alberta. While I was there I met my partner Branden who is from the Lower Mainland. Branden and BC won me over and we made the move to the Okanagan/Similkameen. I am loving every part of this beautiful province that I now call home. I have been lucky and honored to have been immersed into the culture and communities while working for PIB, USIB and LSIB. I am equally happy, excited and honored for the opportunity to work with OKIB and learn from the wisdom and culture of the members I will meet along the way.
