My name is Randi Robins and presently, I work as the Pre-Employment Supports Caseworker for OKIB and WFN. I am from OKIB and have been living in our community my entire life, my parents are the Late Emery Robins Sr and the Late Margaret Snow. When I am not in the office you can find me at a Pow-wow, beading at home, or at the baseball fields with my family.
I have worked with various Indigenous communities and organizations such as First nations Friendship Centre, Native Court worker, Okanagan Indian Band, Health, Lands and Ec Dev, Public Works and Housing, Employment and Training and Social Development. Working in each of these roles have provided me the knowledge and understanding of our community resources and Syilx traditions.
As a Pre-Employment Support worker I work closely with the Band Social Development worker to provide supports to Eligible community members with Employment Readiness, Short Term Training, Transitional Supports to employment, College Pre Req’s and additional barriers to employment.
Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding our program, I appreciate everyone’s input and gaining new knowledge that will assist our community and programs moving forward.
