Attention OKIB Members: The OKIB is hoping to provide opportunities for Security personnel to help enforce compliance of the Covid 19 Emergency Bylaw. OKIB is looking for Expression of Interest Proposals for Security Companies for on reserve enforcement. Due to the sensitive nature of this work and the need for Cultural and Social understanding, this expression of interest is being posted with the intent of hiring Band Members into this role.

Chief Byron Louis on behalf of Council talks about the financial supports available to members, and how OKIB is allocating financial resources during the pandemic, which includes emergency funding for these priority areas: - Primary health care + $100,000 - Food security + $100,000 - Home and Community Care and mental wellness + $150,000 If you need help applying Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) - $2,000 or the one-time support of $1,000 on top of Child Benefit and GST top-ups please contact us.
